Awesome times

I graduate on Saturday from Walters State Community College. I will receive my AAS in health information technology. I will then take my RHIT exam to receive my credentials. My second granddaughter is due on Saturday as well 🙂 My oldest son is getting married on July 5th and I am flying out for the wedding. My middle son is getting married on August 24th and again I’ll be flying out for the wedding. My youngest son will be leaving for basic training and AIT training and then once he returns to TN, he will attend school at UT.

It’s a wonderful life 🙂

Semester half over :)

I cannot believe how fast this semester has gone. Seems like yesterday it just started. A month from now I’ll  be taking my final exams 🙂 Only one semester is standing between me and that wonderful piece of paper. My last semester will start in January, and I’m most certain it will be my most challenging. I know it won’t be easy, but with Steve’s support anything is possible. I am truly blessed to have wonderful people in my life. I look forward to all that lies ahead for us and could not ask for more.

My grand baby

My grand baby

My first biological grand baby, due May 4th 🙂

My beautiful grand baby. I am overjoyed about being a grandmother. As I was looking closer at the picture it looks to me as if the baby is sticking his/her tongue out, definitely related to me 🙂

Ups and Downs

We’ve had emotional ups and downs last week. Steve’s father passed away on September 5th and we were in Savannah, TN all that week. Edward Stowell was a great man I’m so glad that I knew him and got to make memories with him. Steve’s brother moved from South Dakota to move in with Mom to help her out. On the up side of things, I was told on September 6th that I am going to be a Grandmother 🙂 Austin and Crystal are pregnant and the doctor is pretty sure it will be a healthy pregnancy. Ms. Haylie is 3 now and my son loves her so much, so technically I am already a Grandmother.

School is going great and I am really excited to find out what hospital I’ll be interning at. That is all for now 🙂

Time goes by fast

I can’t believe it’s already August. I’ve been busy with school details and getting Hunter ready for his senior year. I think it’s rather cool that Hunter and I will graduate the same year 🙂 Steve tells everyone he is marrying a coed, and that’s pretty cute 🙂 I might be doing my practicum at morristown hospital, but not sure yet. Seems like yesterday the summer just got started and now it’s almost fall. Fall is my most favorite season 🙂 something about the crisp air and colors on the trees that really make me happy. I look forward to all the challenges ahead of me.

School

I can’t believe I only have two semesters left until I graduate. I was going over the books I need and felt overwhelmed a bit, but very excited. This will be a challenging semester, but I’m ready. I think we’re doing our practicum at the new hospital 🙂 I was looking over a study guide for my exam for my credentials and it looks like the test is 150 questions and I’ll have 31/2 hours to take it. According to my advisor I will already have my test done and know my score before walking across the stage. I look forward to graduating and starting on my career path.

Fireworks

We had a great time last night having our cookout and fireworks. Both Hunter and Steve worked on Monday, so we had our 4th on the 5th. It was great fun and I think everyone had a good time.

Summer fun

We had a blast camping and hanging out in Gatlinburg for our anniversary. We went to Ober Gatlinburg and I rode the chair lift all the way to the top. I was nervous thinking about it, but once we were in the chair climbing up, the views made my nervousness go away. I enjoyed it very much and we’ll definitely do that again. I made my first camp fire and it was awesome 🙂 I made sugar-free pancakes and had sugar-free syrup with them and they were yummy. Our next trip is South Carolina and I’m so excited. Turning a year older isn’t that bad when you get to hang out on the beach and take pictures of a lighthouse and cuddle with your guy on a blanket.

We’re having a small get together at our place for the 4th of July. We have tons of fireworks, so the display should be pretty awesome. We’re enjoying our summer very much. Steve and I want to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.

Our one year anniversary :)

June 29th 2010, was one of the best days of my life. My prince charming showed up on Facebook. Steve and I worked together in 2007, at Fort Sanders Sevier hospital, so I recognized him right away. There was no logical reason why he was even on Facebook as a suggestion to add, we had no mutual friends and his profile wasn’t even filled out. I know now it was our destiny to be reunited. I sent a brief message to him and waited for almost a week for a reply. We chatted back and forth a bit through messaging and then one night he asked if we could talk on the phone, my heart almost stopped. I was like a teenager with her first crush. Once I heard his voice again, I was smitten. I can tell he was feeling the same way and we talked for hours. Steve lived four hours away and that completely bummed me out at first, but I knew he would be worth the drive. We continued communicating by phone and then made plans to see each other again. Once we were face to face on June 29th 2010, we’ve been together ever since. Steve is everything I’ve ever wanted in a life partner. And this year has been wonderful, and just keeps getting better and better. We’ve planned another camping trip for our anniversary. Our camping trips have been so much fun. For my birthday we’re going to South Carolina to hang on the beach 🙂 I look forward to many more years with this man. I love you Steve.
